As we celebrate Thanksgiving, no matter what state we find ourselves in, there is surely much to be thankful for. Allow the word of God to give you assurance that “all things-both good and bad-truly do work together for good, and more importantly for God’s glory and the advancing of His Kingdom.
14 We know that God, who raised the Lord Jesus, will also raise us with Jesus and present us to himself together with you. 15 All of this is for your benefit. And as God’s grace reaches more and more people, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory. 16 That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. 17 For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 18 So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. (Acts 4:14-18 (NLT))
I hope and pray that these points are clear to you from the scripture above. Turn these points into opportunities to give thanks!
1. Thank God for the assurance that the same God who raised Jesus will one day raise us!
2. Thank God when you realize that so much of what you go through is not for personal attack but rather for the greater good of the Gospel.
3. Thank God that our sufferings draw us closer to Him when we keep them in their proper perspective.
4. Thank God that trouble won’t last always!
5. Thank God for supernatural vision to see the invisible, or better to see “up the road” the things which are to come.
God is a great and amazing God! Thank Him. Focus on the truths of His word. Thank Him for your good times. Thank Him for your sufferings! Thank Him and focus on having the best Thanksgiving ever!!!!!
